Lebanese Army denies fabricated claims and disinformation

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
"Recent days have seen claims attributed to hostile Israeli media concerning positions related to the army and its missions in southern Lebanon, along with other fabricated reports.
"The Army Command affirms that its personnel remain fully committed to its directives and to the missions entrusted to them, carrying out their duties out of a firm belief in their national responsibility to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty, security and stability, free from any other calculations or considerations.
"The command also continues to enjoy the confidence of brotherly and friendly countries, which maintain their support for the army in recognition of the importance of its role, particularly amid the exceptional circumstances and challenges facing Lebanon.
"The timing of these rumors and their circulation at such a delicate and sensitive stage underscores the seriousness of attempts to target the army and its leadership, sow doubt within the institution and undermine confidence between the military and the Lebanese people.
