Abi Nasr: Failing to address displaced Syrians' dossier exposes Lebanon to security threats

MP Naamtallah Abi Nasr said in a statement Tuesday that failing to deal with the file of displaced Syrians is dangerous as it exposes Lebanon's security and economy to the worst risks.
"Lebanon is providing them with job opportunities at the expense of Lebanese workers, in addition to the free medical care and hospitalization which almost blocked the hospitals' capacity to receive Lebanese patients," he noted, adding that the Lebanese government is the one responsible for what has happened.

"The Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abu Faour bears most of this responsibility because he insisted on addressing the issue of the displaced people from a human perspective even if that was at the expense of national interest," he said.

Abi Nasr finally accused the Lebanese parties of failing to apply the policy of dissociation, "dragging us into a conflict in which we have nothing to do."
"President Michel Sleiman sounded the alarm out of keenness on the constitution and on the Lebanese national unity," he concluded.
