MP Anwar Khalil addressed Prime Minister-designate Hassan Diab on Sunday, urging him to form the new government as soon as possible since he does not have the luxury of time.
"Let your words be accompanied by actions," Khalil said, adding, "The lesson lies in the implementation, whether by forming the government or by taking Lebanon out of the furnace of fire devouring it day after day."
Khalil noted that people are tired of promises and vows, and endless lies made by the previous governments. Hence, he deemed that the Lebanese people will judge the new Prime Minister on how swift the new government will be formed while avoiding any hastiness, alongside its inclusion of clean and qualified specialists who would trigger the confidence of citizens.
Khalil also indicated that the international community will also be closely monitoring the Prime Minister-designate's way of managing the economic, financial and social dossiers, as well as combatting corruption and reforming the administration with the required speed and effective remedies, before they provide any of the pledged financial sums.
