It has been raining heavily in Akkar governorate on Thursday, amid active and strong winds that exceeded 80 km per hour at night.
The weather destroyed agricultural greenhouses and caused great damage to the region's crops.
The sea waves, which reached a height of 5 meters, stormed one of the houses of Hay Al-Bahr along the Akkari beach and cracked its walls. This forced its residents to evacuate, and fishing activities have also been suspended.
Meanwhile, the heavy rains raised the level of all the river courses and turned roads into swamps. The snow covered the mountainous highlands and blocked several roads including Al-Kamouaa - Marjehin road, whereas Al-Kamouaa - Qobayat road could be crossed by 4WD vehicles, but with difficulty.
