Caretaker Minister of Health Hamad Hassan on Thursday confirmed that the MoH has not been informed by the Central Bank about the medicine subsidy bill value yet.
Hassan confirmed that the MoH would start stamping all the audited medicine bills, so that missing medicines can be subsidized and released directly from warehouses to the market.
“The Ministry of Health is working on three levels: coordinating with the Central Bank to release subsidies for medicine bills, working with importers to ensure their disbursement from warehouses, and following up on the Pharmacists’ Syndicate activity to keep pace with the transparent disbursement of medicine to citizens,” the Minister added.
