President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, followed up Wednesday on the development of the fires that broke out today in Akkar, especially in Qobayat and Bennu.

President Aoun asked the Army Command and Civil Defense to make every effort to extinguish fires and prevent them from spreading to homes, and to help the people.

In addition, President Aoun gave his directives, that if fires develop, to seek the help of the Cypriot state to help put them out.
