Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on Tuesday blamed the United States for the events taking place currently in Ukraine, calling upon those trusting of the US to derive lessons.
"America is responsible for what is happening in Ukraine, and it incited in this direction," Nasrallah told a conference held on the 30th martyrdom anniversary of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi.
Nasrallah went on to accuse the US of refraining from helping reach a diplomatic solution. "Washington has done everything to push for the current scenario," he said.
"What's happening between Ukraine and Russia is very dangerous, regardless of our position from the ongoing battle," Nasrallah warned.
Criticizing the West's double standards in dealing with the Ukraine crisis, the Hezbollah leader called to compare between "how the world acted when the US invaded Afghanistan" and how it is acting now regarding Russia and Ukraine.
"What is happening is a lesson for those who trust and count on the US," he said.
