House Speaker Nabih Berri met Wednesday with Minister of Public Works Ali Hamieh, over the current general situation and the latest developments.

He later welcomed a delegation of the Supreme Islamic Shi'i council, chaired by Ali Makki.

Berri separately received a cable from the Vatican's Secretary for Relations with States, Paul Richard Gallagher, regarding Pope Francis' imminent visit to Lebanon.
