Caretaker Prime Minister, Prime Minister-designate, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday held a series of diplomatic meetings at the Grand Serail.
In this context, the PM-designate met with the new Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mujtaba Amani, with whom he discussed the current political situation, bilateral relations between the two countries, and hour issues.
The meeting was attended by Premier Mikati's Advisor, Ambassador Boutros Assaker.
Caretaker Premier Mikati also met with the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Andreas Kindl, in the presence of Ambassador Assaker.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The German Ambassador raised the issue of some previous agreements between the two countries and the aid that Germany could provide to Lebanon.
Discussions also dwelt on the displaced Syrians' dossier.
Mikati later received the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Chantal Chastenay, who paid him a farewell visit upon the near end of her diplomatic mission in the country.
The PM then received the Caretaker Tourism Minister, Walid Nassar, accompanied by Miss Lebanon 2022 Yasmina Zaytoun.
On emerging, Miss Lebanon Zaytoun said that she briefed the Premier on the project she will be working on to address the situation of children suffering from malnutrition.
"I will do everything in my power to support this cause and to help all associations concerned with this file."
Moreover, Mikati met with MP Bilal Al-Hocheimy at the head of a delegation of the Lebanese University.
On emerging, MP Al-Hocheimy said that they discussed the educational situation and the work mechanism to rescue the academic year, and the condition of the Lebanese University.
The PM also received respectively MP Mohammed Yahya, Lebanon's Ambassador to Sweden Hassan Saleh. Mikati then received the Secretary General of the Lebanese-Syrian Supreme Council Nasri Khoury.
Mikati also met with the Army Intelligence Director, Brigadier General Tony Kahwaji.
