First Military Investigation Judge Riyad Abou Ghida issued on Wednesday an indictment against former minister Michel Samaha and Syrian official Ali Mamlouk over terrorism charges. Abou Ghida referred the case to the military court for trial, requesting to issue an investigation warrant to unveil the identity of a Syrian colonel known only by his first name Adnan (who plotted for terrorist acts along with the other two suspects).
According to the indictment, investigations have proved that the three suspects set a plan, under the direct supervision of Samaha, to carry out terrorist attacks against Syrian opposition figureheads and arms dealers who are in charge of weapons smuggling into Syria. The indictment also points out that Samaha tasked Miled Kfoury with carrying out these bombings, after he had listed extra assasination missions against local politicians and religious figures.
