Al Hayat: Al Rahi told Hollande that Assad "is not worse than those fighting in Syria"

An informed source told Al Hayat daily that the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rahi, during a closed-door meeting with the French President Francois Hollande, has voiced his concern over the exodus of Syrian Greek Orthodox Christians, urging for a political solution to be devised in Syria.

Al Rahi also considered that Syrian President Bachar Al Assad "is not worse than those fighting in Syria", as he told French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius that Assad is ready for dialogue.
