A small village in the casa of Jezzine, east of Saida.Karkha has around 100 houses with a population of 500, most of whom, however, live in beirut or abroad, making karkha their weekend and holiday destination. It has 2 Byzantine Churches; St. John the Baptist Church, and St. John the Apostle Church, both Greek Catholic.
The village has one fresh water spring (Al Ain) and beautiful landscapes and scenary; Karkha is also famous for its production of premium quality olive oil, rose water and other traditional Lebanese products.
