Free Shia Movement: Hezbollah must immediately withdraw its militants from Syria

Independent Shiite clergymen, intellectuals and politicians urged Hezbollah to immediately withdraw its militants from Syria to spare Lebanese Shias unnecessary sacrifice and let the Syrian people determine its fate in order to reach freedom, democracy and social dignity.

In a press conference held in Beirut on Saturday, Cleric Mohammad Hajj-Hassan said that a moderate Sunni-Shia Salvation Front must team up with Christians in a bid to force Hezbollah's fighters out of Syria.

The Free Shia Movement regretted the fate of all those mothers bereaved by the killing of their sons in a 'holy war' or 'jihad' which is not theirs, reminding Hezbollah's chief Hassan Nasrallah that his militants are killing the same people who offered them refuge in 2006 and that the Shia ought not fight and die for Iran.

The FSM also accused Hezbollah of giving ample pretext to the Takfeeris to fight back and retaliate.
