Caretaker Minister of Administrative Development, Mohamad Fneish, said Sunday during a funeral ceremony in south Lebanon that forming a national consensus cabinet representing political powers based on their size has become a necessity.

Regarding FPM challenging the extension of mandate of parliament, Fneish said that everyone was free to exercise constitutional rights.

"We have accepted parliament's mandate extension for the sake of national interest, so that the country does not fall into vacuum, as for our disagreement over an elections law, it is all due to the practices of the other team which has wasted time and opportunity."
