Turkey’s unrest boils over

For the fourth straight day, protest voices against Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan continue despite tear gas on demonstrators.
Erdogan, with his stubborn policy that he adopted from the first day as described by protesters, was not impressed as it shows and kept on his scheduled trip to Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia despite the tension witnessed in Turkey.
Erdogan downplayed claims that Turkey could be on the cusp of its own "Arab Spring" considering that Arab Spring states are those under despot regime and left people’s choice to polls.
“My country will respond during the local election to be in 2014”, he said pointing out that if the opposition gathered one hundred thousand demonstrators he could gather one million supporters for him.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul urged calm and laws respect calling protesters to hold peaceful demonstrations to express points of view and dissent.
“Demonstrations might be manipulated by illegal organizations”, warned Gul and ended up by saying: "Your message has been received".
