Jordanian jihadist calls fighters to attack Hezbollah

The Jordanian jihadist leader, Mohammad Shalabi, has called for a jihad against the Shiite Hezbollah, predicting a decisive confrontation between Sunni Islamists and the Lebanese group in the coming days, Al-Hayat daily reported on Thursday.

Noting that the al-Qaida linked al-Nusra Front is heading to all of the areas where Hezbollah fighters are present, Shalabi deemed jihad against all 'aggressors' as a "duty".

"We call openly to fight this party," he said, urging the Sunnis in Lebanon and Syria to target Hezbollah's positions and leaders.

Shalabi also mentioned that Shiite fighters from Bahrain, Pakistan, and other Gulf countries are heading to fight in Syria alongside Hezbollah, while noting that there are more than 500 Jordanian fighters supporting al-Nusra Front.
