Junblatt took the lesson from May 7, 2008

Security concerns are still the focus of Leader of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt who still express in his meetings his worries of the governmental performance in general and the American one especially towards the Syrian crisis approach since the U.S. President Barack Obama as well as the International Community are watching the daily massacres that are perpetrated against the Syrian people.

Closed persons to Junblatt reveal that his concern is not limited on Syria but it is also on the Inner Lebanon that is witnessing destabilizing incident and an escalation in the sectarian speech warning of the strife to come.

Furthermore, Junblatt held a prompt meeting in al-Moukhtara palace for the Progressive Socialist Party heads and officials, confirmed that after reviewing the regional situation and the way the International Community is dealing with the Syrian crisis, he will enter no war and said “enough wars, we took the lesson from May 7, 2008. The Lebanese Army must be always supported and backed up”.

Meanwhile the meeting of MP Akram Chhayeb with the Director General of General Security Major General Abbas Ibrahim was in the same context.

Junblatt is upset from the stance of “Future Movement” and “Lebanese Forces” that reject participation in the coming government if with Hezbollah considering this “a mad move” especially that he insists on the participation of the party in the cabinet.

Moreover, Junblatt is deploying his efforts to protect the Mountain, waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Council since he considers that the Syrian crisis will long last and its repercussions will be dangerous on Lebanon hence carrying elections in such circumstances is impossible.
