The Daily Telegraph: Ahmadinejad will be missed when he’s gone
Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was the bogeyman the West loved to hate. But his successor will be much tougher to deal with, The Daily Telepgraph newspaper reported.
"Ahmadinejad, though, is a real person: intelligent, provocative, strange, hostile but charming. We love to hate him, but we can also see why those who do support him love him. That is also what makes him a bit sinister, and he frightens us, as a good bogeyman should."
"There are seven candidates in the election to replace him tomorrow, and it is hard to see any likely winner that the West’s policy planners will stand up to cheer."
