Caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said he had received earlier on Thursday a memorandum from his Syrian counterpart, Walid Al Muallem, tackling the border issues between the two countries and voicing Syria's keeness on Lebanon's security.

According to Mansour, the memorandum underscores the importance that the Lebanese Army controls the borders in order to preserve security and stability, and urges the Lebanese authorities to exert efforts to take necessary measures that aim at safeguarding both countries' sovereignty and intergrity.
