For the first time in Lebanon and Syria relations, the highest authority in the Lebanese state will take a move and lodge a complaint with the Arab League and the U.N. against Syria.
According to Baabda sources, the discussions are still ongoing between the President and the Prime Minister; however nothing is finalized so far.
The process, procedure and the timing are not settled yet.
Hesitating in taking the move hints at differences between officials as it marks the division among them too.
Some accused the President of being biased because he did not make a stance only when the Syrian regime breached the Lebanese territories. Baabda sources are defending this statement by saying that the previous violations were limited and contained. Now the violations are growing greater and the Lebanese sovereignty must be defended.
But, what about the letter that FM Adnan Mansour has received from Syrian counterpart Foreign Walid al-Moallem demanding the Lebanese Army to control the borders?
No matter what the Syrian stances are, the Lebanese insistence, mainly the presidential one, is clear on making the diplomatic and political procedures take the right path.
But will it be blocked by internal political differences?
In this context, information for MTV revealed that Lebanon will submit complaint to Security Council against Syria's violations within 48 hours.
