Political source to 'The Daily Star': Parliament's extension to become effective this week
According to a political source, the extension of Parliament's mandate becomes effective this week as the Constitutional Council will not be able to meet for lack of a quorum to decide on petitions opposing the extension.

"Practically, nothing has changed regarding the boycott of the Constitutional Council's three members. There will be no quorum for the council's meeting Tuesday, thus boosting the chances of the extension of Parliament's term,": the source told the newspaper.
