Future bloc Head Fouad Siniora condemned Sunday the attack against the Lebanese Army institution, regardless of the reason or side of said attack.

"Sidon shall always remain a committed city to the State and the Law, and shall never allow anyone to place it in confrontation with the Army or State," Siniora indicated in his statement, in the wake of clashes that broke out in Sidon on Sunday.

Siniora followed-up on Sidon developments, contacting for this purpose House Speaker, Nabih Berri; as well as Caretaker PM Najib Mikati; Army Commander, Jean Kahwaji, and MP Bahia Hariri.
