Prime Minister designate, Tammam Salam, met Tuesday at his Beirut residence with the Indian Foreign Minister, Sherry Ahmad Salman Khorchid, over the current general situation in Lebanon and the broader Arab region.
The pair also discussed the Lebanese-Indian ties and the means to develop them.
Salam later met with UN Humanitarian Aid Chief, Valerie Amos, accompanied by UNDP representative Robert Watkins.
Talks reportedly featured high on the condition of refugees in Lebanon.
"I confirmed that the United Nations will not spare any effort to support Syrians inside Syria and those crossing borders to flee the war," she added.
