After spreading the news about the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has warned Lebanon that al-Qaeda is sending huge amounts of explosives to Lebanon in order to plot attacks against army checkpoints and the Resistance, in addition to planning to assassinate diplomatic, religious and political figures, caretaker Defense minister Fayez Ghosn confirmed to MTV that the reports are real and the specialized security agencies are verifying them in order to take appropriate decisions.
MTV has learned also that security leaderships have reported the same information to the Supreme Defense Council four months ago.
An official security source considered that leaking the information a day after Bir al-Abed blast, raises a lot of questions especially that the report was leaked to a pro-Hizbullah newspaper, which promoted the justification that indicates the US repudiation of any link to the blast.
The news came in contradiction to the statements accusing the US and Saudi Arabia of the blast, according to the security source.
Furthermore, another security source denied the reports about detecting and thwarting two explosions. The same source has warned that frightening people excessively for political purpose, has become clear.
