Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov said the authorities of Egypt may turn to Russia for economic aid, noting that Moscow is ready to consider this assistance.
"I do not exclude that they may request some economic assistance, as they have already turned to some of the Gulf countries; in particular, Saudi Arabia has already promised, Emirates, and Kuwait," the diplomat said. "The economy (of Egypt) is, of course, in a grave condition," he said in an interview with Ria Novosti.
