Sayegh: Labeling Hezbollah as terrorist will only embarrass Lebanon more
Former Minister Salim al-Sayegh said Hezbollah had carried out criminal acts that can be labeled as "terrorist" in Lebanon, and maybe abroad.

"However, there's a difference between committing a terrorist act and blacklisting the whole party as a terrorist group. Labeling Hezbollah as such will only embarrass Lebanon more," Sayegh said during a radio interview.

Sayegh called the caretaker government to take sovereign decisions that aim at controlling the country's porous borders, holding the ministers accountable for the ongoing situation.

He also noted that the United Nations failed to take a fim humanitarian stance regarding Syria, deeming Lebanon is incapable of managing donated funds aimed to aid refugees.
