Change and Reform bloc leader, MP Michel Aoun met earlier on Wednesday at his Rabiyeh residence with UK Ambassador to Lebanon, Tom Fletcher, with discussions reportedly featured high on the challenges that Lebanon is confronting as a result of the ongoing crisis storming the region.
Following the meeting, Fletcher said talks tackled the help that the international communities can provide and the importance of supporting stability in Lebanon.
"Britain wants to support the Lebanese Army and it also wants to provide Lebanon with help to support efforts that this country is exerting towards the refugees", he added, saying that they would like to help Lebanon through creating international communications to keep it away from the impact of the Syrian crisis.
Responding to a question about whether the EU decision would politically affect Lebanon, the Ambassador said that they would carry out any act that helps to preserve Lebanon's stability.
