The Arab Democratic Party leader Ali Eid condemned the assassination of Hezbollah commander Hassan al-Laqqis, saying it serves the interest of Israel.

Eid deemed the crime as a "Zionist act" which is a part of schemes aiming to foment strife and sedition and to dash the axis of resistance and defiance.

Eid extended his condolences to Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah and the slain official's family, saying "that each drop of blood being shed is only another victory on the path leading to the major triumph that will definitely be achieved."
