The Nusra Front in Lebanon, an offshoot of the Syrian rebel group, called on the Sunnis not to live in any of Hezbollah's strongholds, warning them to avoid areas where the Shiite party's headquarters are located.
“We, Al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, announce that the party of Iran and its security and military posts are a legitimate target for us wherever they are located,” the statement reads.
In a statement posted on its Twitter account on Friday, al-Qaeda-linked group deemed the "party of Iran" as a legitimate target, slamming Hezbollah members for seeking to deploy in residential areas in a bid to avert the Mujahideens' strikes.
The statement also urged the Sunnis to shore up and stand alongside the Mujahideens in their war against Iran and its proxies.
