Former Premier Saad Hariri warned the Sunnite of Lebanon against malicious attempts to drag them into war between al-Qaeda and Hezbollah.
“The Lebanese people and Sunnis refuse to be part of any local or regional war between Hezbollah and Al-Qaeda,” Hariri said on Saturday. “They also reject that any Lebanese citizens become targets of this conflict and its dangerous outcomes on national and Islamic unity.”
He then called on rational citizens from all sects to ward off any attempts to be dragged by obscure invites, in the same way they refuse Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria. “We will deploy all our peaceful and political means to fend off crimes that are committed against Lebanon, Syria, Arabism and Islam in our country.” He concluded.
