Online Video Depicts Iranian Embassy Suicide Bomber

Al-Qaeda-linked group Abdullah Azzam Brigades, that claimed the twin attack at the Iranian embassy in Beirut, posted a video on its Twitter account showing interviews with its figureheads as well as one of the two suicide bombers who perpetrated the assault.

The video, dubbed “the invasion of the Iranian embassy in Beirut”, depicts how the attack was  carried out as one of the two suicide bombers, known as Mouin Abu Zaher, appears saying that he had chosen to be a martyr in order “to afflict great losses on the enemy”.

The suicide bomber, who confessed to taking part in the Abra clashes alongside Salafist cleric Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir's supporters in a bid to defend his region and religion, vowed to maintain attacks against Hezbollah strongholds if the Shiite party didn’t refrain from fighting in Syria.

The group also pledged to keep on orchestrating suicide attacks if the Islamist detainees at the Roumieh prison were not released.

Abu Zaher addressed Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah saying that the suicide bombers outnumber his party’s fighters, warning him, along with Speaker Nabih Berri and General Security Chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, that they will not be able to deter the Abdullah Azzam Brigades until “the Sunnis are again respected”.
