Azzi: Kataeb against arming Christians

Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi noted that the Lebanese Kataeb Party is against arming Christians, noting that the party hasn’t resorted to weapons except in urgent times during which the country was facing annihilation, adding that self-arming preaches the death of the state.

In remarks published in al-Joumhouriyah newspaper Tuesday, Azzo noted that the Christians’ aim is a powerful state which also constitutes the slogan behind the 2005 uprising, assuring that the Lebanese Kataeb will remain at the service of the state, now more than ever.
