MP Nicolas Fattoush said Sunday that the parliamentary polls will be definitely delayed due to extraordinary circumstances that Lebanon is passing through such as the shaky security situation, tensions in political and sectarian rhetoric and incapability of candidates to communicate with voters.
In an interview with al-Liwa' daily, which will be published Monday, Fattoush pointed out "I had proposed to extend the parliament's mandate for additional two years and 7 months, because it cannot convene every 5 months to bid extension, so when the situation is back to normal then the parliament can shorten the period."
