The French Embassy in Lebanon confirmed in a statement that French Senators affiliated with the Franco-Lebanese Friendship Committee are set to meet with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Tammam Salam in Beirut this week.
"This visit comes within the framework of regular exchanges between the Senate of the French Republic and the Lebanese Parliament” said the statement.
According to the French Embassy, the visit serves as “an opportunity to send a message of friendship and support from the French people to the Lebanese people and their representatives.”
During their stay, the senators are scheduled to hold talks with politicians, religious leaders, and MPs affiliated with the Franco-Lebanese Friendship Committee.
