The US military announced that it has not been able to confirm whether the Islamic State group leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed in an airstrike or if he is still alive.

There have been many conflicting reports on the jihadist group leader’s fate; however, there is no way to confirm or dismiss them, Pentagon spokesperson Colonel Steven Warren said Monday.
