Prime Minister Tammam Salam said that bickering has been prevailing over the Cabinet sessions lately, hence preventing the council from making any progress as to addressing the country's affairs.

Al-Akhbar quoted ministerial sources as saying that nothing new has yet emerged regarding the captives' case, stressing that efforts are still being exerted so as to secure their release.
