Lebanese army commander Jean Qahwaji said Friday that the army's latest achievement will be added to the previous ones in combating terrorism, congratulating all soldiers deployed along the borders.

In a tour to the Bekaa accompanied by Minister of Defense Samir Moqbel, the major general stressed that the army is free of sectarian and political poisons, praising its professionalism and coherence.

"Our army is complete, it only needs to be provided with sophisticated munitions and weapons, which we hope that this would be soon realized," Qahwaji added.

For his part, Moqbel hailed the competencies of the army in fighting terrorists from the strategic top hills in Ras Baalbek.
