Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea received today a delegation of the family of the stabbing victim Georges al-Reef at his residence in Maarab.

“We will not abandon this case because it concerns us all. The case cannot be confined to the family; it is a humanitarian case that I will closely follow up on.  My only request is not have it politicized, otherwise the intervening parties will have to face up to a great confrontation of a national level,” Geagea said following the meeting.

Geagea urged political parties to refrain from exploiting the case for narrow political gains, stressing that the murder of citizen Georges al-Reef holds a national and humanitarian dimension.

The wife of stabbing victim al-Reef thanked the Lebanese Forces Chief, reiterating her full trust in the support of the Lebanese parties in her quest for justice.
