Fatfat: I will Not Vote for Aoun Even if Hariri, Geagea Approved

I will not vote for Aoun even if former PM Saad Hariri, and Lebanese Forces Chief, Samir Geagea, did. In order to resolve the deadlock, we need to elect a consensual president first, then conduct a parliamentary elections, MP Ahmad Fatfat declared.

“We want a consensual president of the same caliber as PM Tamam Salam and Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri,” he argued in a radio interview.

Fatfat continued by refuting all alleged attempts to undermine Aoun. He went further as to identified the allies of FPM Chief Aoun as his major problem.

“Would it be possible for a drastic security decision such as the extension of high-ranking chiefs to be passed without Hezbollah’s blessing? The party’s approval comes as a result of recent regional changes,” he scoffed.
