A new U.S. force of special operations troops has arrived in Iraq and is preparing to work with Iraqi forces to go after Islamic State targets, U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter said on Wednesday.
 
 
Carter, who last month announced his intention to deploy the "specialized expeditionary targeting force," disclosed that it was now in place in Iraq during a speech to U.S. soldiers with the 101st Airborne Division.
