Beirut Port Customs seizes 504 Kg of Captagon

The Ministry of Finance's media office announced in a statement on Monday that "the Beirut Port Customs seized a container of cleaning products intended for export to Jordan with a quantity of 504 Kg of the narcotic substance Captagon (more than 3 million pills) found inside it."

"After careful investigation, the Customs Directorate discovered a lead in the case and arrested a suspect in Wata El-Musaytbeh. In light of the suspect's confession, a Customs force raided a warehouse in Khaldeh where illegal drugs were hidden.
As per the signal of the public prosecutor, the arrestee has been delivered along with the seizures to the competent judicial authorities," the statement said.
