Gemayel: Power must be used in service of people and not for personal interests

Kataeb Party Chief, MP Samy Gemayel, considered Sunday that pursuit of power must be invested to serve citizens' interests rather than personal or partisan interests.

He added that the country is in need of a major change in its manner of administration.

Gemayel regretted the long lapse of time before the government was actually formed while people's vital issues were at stake.

"We desperately need officials and people to rise up against the state of weariness in Lebanon, and against the postponement of problems and the inappropriate manner in which the country is run," he stressed.

Gemayel's words came as he attended a ceremony held in his honor by Saint Mansour School in Baskinta, in appreciation of his contribution to transforming its sections into smart classrooms equipped with modern techniques to serve modern education.
