A handover ceremony took place Monday at the Ministry of Social Affairs between outgoing minister Pierre Bou Assi and Minister Richard Kouyoumjian.
The ceremony took place in presence of heads of directorates and departments of the Ministry's affiliated directorates, among others.
In his delivered word, the new minister said he shall be exercising politics for the public welfare rather than for personal interests.
Outgoing Minister Bou Assi, for his part, branded the ministry as a "source of unlimited human wealth."
