MP Sethrida Geagea announced that she would talk about "saving the Lebanese people before it is too late."

She said "Four million Lebanese are under the weight of pain, disgust and lack of confidence in the majority of the political forces... They all share daily struggles to survive and continue to live in dignity. What makes reality even more bitter is that the economic and living conditions were much better during the war than they are today," she said.

"The Lebanese are not only tired, they are frustrated and losing hope; some of them getting to the point of desperation," the MP said, stressing that "the Lebanese will withstand, but with conditions, at least on the economic and social level."

"Public debt is at $ 86 billion, the economic cycle is stagnating, unemployment is at a record high, immigration is threatening young people, and the repercussions of the Syrian exodus are immense," she warned.

"What we want today is to restore confidence in ourselves, in the State and in institutions. The number one necessity is the sovereignty of the State in position and in decision. What we want is a strong republic that reassures citizens of their freedom, dignity and livelihood," Geagea stressed.

"Yes to the opportunity to restore confidence and to work seriously in the service of people and Lebanon," she concluded.
