Cabinet held its ordinary session at 11:30 pm on Thursday, at Baabda Palace, under the chairmanship of President Michel Aoun and in the presence of Prime Minister Saad Hariri and ministers.
103 items are listed on the cabinet's agenda, in addition to urgent matters that require swift decisions.
At the beginning of the session, ministers dedicated a minute of silence in memory of late former ministers Robert Ghanem, Edgar Maalouf, Sleiman Mohammed Reda Zain, and Salim Jahel.
President Aoun opened the session with an address, in which he congratulated ministers on the confidence vote that the government had received.
"High hope is pinned on the new cabinet, a thing which places it before heavy responsibilities," Aoun said.
