Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met Thursday at his Ain el-Tineh residence, with former interior minister Marwan Charbel, with whom he discussed the current general situation.
Berri also met with Vice Head of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council, Sheikh Ali Khatib.
He later received former ambassador George Khoury.
