Serbian Ambassador to Lebanon, Emir Elfic, hosted a reception ceremony at Le Royal Hotel in Dbayeh upon Serbia's National Day, with the participation of representatives of President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri and House Speaker Nabih Berri, in addition to the Ambassadors of Cyprus, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Poland, Turkey, Uruguay and Morocco.

In his word, Ambassador Elfic heaped praised on the efforts made by the Serbian contingent operating within the UNIFIL, reminding of "the unity of history between Lebanon and Serbia."

He also capitalized on the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the means to bolster it, especially after the opening of the Serbian Embassy in Lebanon in 2015.

Moreover, the diplomat highlighted the necessity to activate cooperation in the fields of sports and economic trade.
