Japan supports Jowaya Technical School in Sour

The Government of Japan provided Jowaya Technical School in Sour with the educational equipment for the mechanics and electronics laboratories, in order to improve the quality of education in the school and increase students' skills and knowledge.

On the occasion of the project completion, on July 5 2019, Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, attended the project completion ceremony in the technical institute. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Anwar Jammal, President of Ali Jammal Social Education Institutions and Mr. Diyaa Chouaab, Director of Jowaya Technical School. With a grant of USD 88,583, this project will benefit at least 545 students annually, who will gain access to proper enhanced training methods and techniques.

During the ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Yamaguchi commended Ali Jammal Social Education Institutions’ efforts in implementing the project and its role in supporting the residents of Jowaya and the surrounding. Meanwhile, Mr. Jammal expressed his deep appreciation for the Japanese support to the Lebanese people through various contributions.
