Chinese President Xi Jinping can resolve the crisis over the standoff between the government and protesters in Hong Kong in a "humane" way, said President Donald Trump, proposing a meeting with the Chinese leader.
"I have absolutely no doubt that if President Xi wants to solve the problem in Hong Kong in a quick and humane way, he can do it," Trump, who is on vacation in New Jersey, wrote on Twitter.
