A general strike and entrances have been closed Thursday in Ain el-Hilweh in full rejection of the Ministry of Labor’s decisions, at the invitation of the Palestinian Joint Action Committee, the Palestinian Popular Committees, and the Popular Movement inside the camp.

The strike aims to push for the annulment of the Labor Ministry’s decision, with anticipation to escalate moves in line with the cabinet meeting, as it is expected to discuss this issue. 

In addition, a mass sit-in and march of anger have been called for at noon on Thursday at the entrance of the camp.
